Title: Family Advocate– EHS/HS

Responsibilities: Seeking candidate who will act as an advocate for Early Head Start / Head Start families whose children are presently enrolled in the program. Candidate will be responsible for assisting with development of goal plans for participating families, for promoting self-sufficiency and for working with the families to help them succeed in their goals. Candidate must also have the ability to form therapeutic relationships with children and families from diverse ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds and demonstrated skills in communication, as well as ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a multi-service agency.

Responsibilities: Local Weatherization Program is seeking a candidate to assist the Program Director with implementation of the Weatherization Assistance Program. Candidate will be responsible for customer intake, sub-contractor scheduling, worksite scheduling, tracking and monitoring job costs, data entry, and inventory control of materials on hands.

Qualifications: Must be organized, detailed with strong data entry/excel spreadsheet skills and have the ability to work independently as well as a team. Other responsibilities include answering telephones, providing customer support and coordinating necessary documentation. Prior experience with inventory and purchasing construction material a plus.

Title: WIC Vendor Liaison

Responsibilities: To coordinate and perform vendor management activities associated with the WIC Vendor Consolidation Project for the Capital District Region. Communicate with NYS Department of Health staff at both Regional and Central office levels, and local WIC agencies within the 20 county project region to ensure successful project implementation. Coordinate with WIC local agencies in 20 county region to ensure that an adequate and appropriate number of vendors are enrolled to ensure participant access to WIC Program services. Work with agencies to ensure effective participant education regarding authorized vendors.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field desired. Requires frequent travel throughout 20 counties. Must have clean NYS driver’s license.
