Food Pantry Offers Healthy Foods and a Chance to Give Back
Food Pantry Offers Healthy Foods and a Chance to Give Back
For Nael, it is all about providing for his family; and he came to America from Syria to do exactly that. Unfortunately, waiting for a permanent resident card for over four years, his quest to find gainful employment and start his career has been delayed.  Instead, he has had to rely on sporadic work opportunities to make ends meet; and the income is often not enough.  After a friend told him about the services provided by CEO, Nael came to the organization seeking help.  The CEO Food Pantry provided Nael and his family with healthy foods they otherwise could not afford, and it also provided an opportunity to give back to the organization that gave to him: Nael became a volunteer at CEO, helping others in need and has been doing so for the past four years.
