Universal Pre-K - CEO has a collaboration with Troy, Hoosick Valley, Hoosick Falls, Lansingburgh and Cambridge school districts to operate pre-k classroom. Our Masters-level, certified teachers provide a developmentally-appropriate program based on each child’s individual needs utilizing literacy curriculums consistent with each district’s kindergarten curriculum. We assist each child in developing positive self-esteem; achieving intellectual growth; increasing competence and skills in reading, listening, thinking, and speaking; increasing physical coordination skills, and in building competence in dealing with emotions and social situations.

CEO's Head Start Program: A Closer Look

CEO’s Head Start Program gave Carrie an opportunity to get involved in her community and enhance her education. Not dealt an easy hand in life, Carrie struggled during her teenage years. She became a mother at a young age, which led to her dropping out of high school from the 11th grade. With three children to raise, Carrie put aside her own education to focus on her family. However, from the moment she left school she vowed to go back.

Carrie made that vow a reality in 2007, when she became the proud recipient of her high school diploma. Given the opportunity through CEO, Carrie has become very involved, first as a Policy Council member and then as a substitute teacher. AT HVCC Carrie plans to complete her CDA so that she can be a full time teacher at CEO.
